My Review for 925 Sterling Silver Triple Moon Earrings for Women

I love jewellery, and I absolutely adore these earrings! They arrived within 1 week shipped from USA to UK and I was impressed with the smooth delivery process. I received regular email updates about my shipment plus a text message confirmation, so I knew what was happening. The parcel was securely packaged and had no signs of damage, so I knew it had been treated carefully.

And now for the jewellery itself. What can I say? The earrings arrived packaged in a small plastic bag inside the gift box, which itself was placed into a gift bag. There was a silver jewellery cleaning cloth included in the box along with care advice for the jewellery. The silver is clean and bright, and the earrings hooked easily into my ears without resistance and with no residual aching which I sometimes experience. This is high quality 925 sterling silver, and I can tell because my ears are happier for wearing it!

I chose the triple moon design earrings because I liked the Celtic design on the crescent moons, I love the little pentagram in the centre, and I also love the abalone shell backing which gives the earring a little added sparkle and sophistication. The Do’s of Dental Care for Kids

  1. Introduce Early Dental Care: Establishing good oral health from birth is absolutely vital. Cleaning gums gently using a soft damp cloth or silicone finger brush will lay down an important foundation for their future dental wellbeing.
  1. Emphasise Proper Brushing Technique: Proper brushing techniques are key in avoiding nasty dental problems. Use a soft bristled toothbrush and pea-sized amount of fluoride toothpaste. Then gently brush twice each day for two minutes on all teeth. Remember to pay special attention paid to back molars.
  1. Encourage Regular Flossing: Starting flossing when their teeth touch one another. This is usually around the age of two to three. Starting this practice regularly helps remove plaque and debris from between their teeth for healthier gums and less cavities.
  1. Schedule Regular Dental Check-ups: It’s an absolute must that children visit a paediatric dentist regularly to monitor and address any potential dental concerns as soon as they appear. This will ensure a more positive and relaxing dental experience for your little one. Be patient, supportive and try creating a comfortable atmosphere when visiting their dental appointment.
  1. Teeth Aren’t Tools: Remind your children not to use their teeth as tools in everyday activities. Little kids might take longer to learn this as they’ll use their teeth for lots of things. But quiet, consistent reminders will set them on the right path. 
  1. Mouthguards For Sports: Always provide your child with a well-fitted mouthguard when playing sports to reduce risk of dental injuries and protect their smile.

My Review for ZeroWater Bottle UV-C and Cap

I received the ZeroWater Stainless Steel 500ml bottle at around the time my teenage daughter informed me that her school water bottle was damaged, and she needed a new one. Celebrating Lammas: Embracing Harvest and Birth

As the warm embrace of summer envelops us, nature begins to hint at the approaching autumn, and the time comes to celebrate Lammas, a cherished pagan festival that honours the first harvest of the year.

For me, SpookyMrsGreen, Lammas holds a special place in my heart, not only because of its significance in the Wheel of the Year, but also because today it marks the 10th birthday of my youngest daughter, Georgina – my little Lammas baby!

What is Lammas?

Lammas, also known as Lughnasadh, is a traditional Celtic festival celebrated on August 1st, midway between the summer solstice and the autumn equinox. It symbolizes the first fruits of the harvest and pays tribute to the agricultural cycle that sustains us. This festival is a time of gratitude, abundance, and reflection on the bountiful gifts nature bestows upon us.

Honouring the Harvest

As a nature enthusiast and a practitioner of pagan traditions, celebrating Lammas has become a cherished part of my life. I take this opportunity to gather with friends and family to create an atmosphere of warmth and gratitude. We might decorate our home with beautiful cornucopias, sunflowers, and dried wheat stalks, although this year I have added wedding bouquets fresh from a family wedding at the weekend.

We indulge in a feast fit for the season, savouring dishes made from the first harvest – fresh vegetables, ripe fruits, and homemade bread. The act of breaking bread together symbolizes unity and fosters a sense of community and togetherness. In a subtle twist to the traditional celebration, we share homemade pizza, a personal favourite for me and my girls.

Sacred Rituals

Rituals play a central role in pagan Lammas celebrations. People gather in a circle, paying homage to the sun god Lugh, who generously bestows his energy upon the land and sustains the crops. Through chanting, singing, and dancing, they channel their gratitude for the abundance surrounding them and set their intentions for the coming autumn season.

As the sun sets, you could create small lanterns made from gourds and fill them with written wishes and dreams. Light these lanterns, sending your desires out into the universe, and watch them drift away into the night sky. It is a magical and profound moment, reminding us of the cyclical nature of life and the interconnectedness of all things.

This year, Lammas holds an even more special significance for my family as it coincides with my youngest daughter, Georgina’s 10th birthday. Born on this auspicious day, Georgina has always embodied the spirit of Lammas – a radiant and vibrant soul, full of curiosity and creativity.

As the day unfolds, we come together to celebrate not only the harvest but also the gift of life bestowed upon us with Georgina’s birth. Amidst the merriment, we sing “Happy Birthday Georgina, my little Lammas baby!” and present her with gifts that resonate with her love for nature and the magical world.

Unleashing Creativity in Everyday Chores

From cooking and doing laundry to vacuuming and other household chores, I have discovered that my mind thrives on the creative freedom that these tasks provide. While engaged in these seemingly mundane activities, my imagination takes flight, constructing intricate storylines and complex characters. These narratives serve as a form of entertainment, transforming mundane chores into exciting adventures. The kitchen becomes a battleground for epic culinary quests, and the laundry room becomes a portal to hidden dimensions. Suddenly, even the most tedious tasks become infused with a touch of magic.

The Ubiquity of Inspiration

For me, inspiration strikes at any time and in any place. Whether I’m in the shower, lying in bed, taking a leisurely stroll, or driving, my mind is always alive with possibilities. My characters, with their unique personalities and gripping tales, effortlessly come to life, drawing me into their world as a fascinated observer. It’s a constant dance between the real and the imaginary, with the lines blurring in the most extraordinary ways. It’s in these moments that I feel truly connected to my creative self.

The Perils of Daydreaming

While daydreaming provides an outlet for creativity, it also comes with its fair share of humorous and embarrassing incidents. There was that unforgettable occasion when I walked into my neighbour’s hanging basket because I was so engrossed in my internal fictional dialogue. Lost in my own world, I failed to notice my surroundings, leading to a rather comical and slightly embarrassing mishap. And let’s not forget the times when people tried to engage in conversation with me, only to realize that my mind had wandered off into the depths of imagination. These daydream-induced moments of absent-mindedness often catch me off guard, and I find myself jolting back to reality, momentarily disoriented.

A Shared Experience

I take solace in the fact that I’m not alone in my daydreaming tendencies. Many writers, artists, and creative individuals find themselves engrossed in their own imaginative worlds, often to the point of distraction. It’s an occupational hazard, so to speak. As writers, we strive to capture the essence of our characters and stories, and sometimes that requires fully immersing ourselves in their lives, even if it means momentarily disconnecting from the present reality. I recently reviewed Wild Natural Deodorant along with my teenage daughter. You can see our reviews over on the blog. My Review of  “The Nosferatu Scroll”

The one thing this book did was make me want to visit Venice, which I have never previously considered. I enjoyed reading the descriptions of the city, the Island of the Dead, the crumbling old buildings and all that history. But that was it. I couldn’t get engrossed in the plot because it just didn’t draw me in, and I was consciously aware of it being a story all the way through. I didn’t connect with any of the characters because they weren’t real to me. I didn’t even realise that Chris and Angela were a married couple at first because there was no connection between them. Then it seemed to say that they were separated, which made me wonder why they were on holiday together in a foreign country. And the fact that the author refers to Chris by his surname further distances the reader from connecting on an emotional level, I think. There wasn’t enough Gothic intrigue for my liking and the story became more of a James Bond spoof by the end.
