Hello, my friends, and happy #MummyMonday! Today I am feeling very emotional as I think about my youngest child embarking upon her high school journey.
How did this happen? How is my baby going to High School? I cannot comprehend where the time has gone, so instead I have written a poem for my daughter. This oneās for you, Georgina.
#MummyMonday: Starting High School ā a Poem for my Youngest Child at SpookyMrsGreen.com
Starting High School ā a Poem for my Youngest Child
The day has finally arrived
And I donāt know how to feel
Weāve done this once already
And yet it feels surreal.
—
Youāve always been my baby
My little limpet child
And now you will go on your own
Out into the wild.
—
Maybe Iām being dramatic
Or maybe Iām just being Mum
Your High School journey begins
And we donāt know whatās to come.
—
I know youāll be happy at school
Just like your older sister
Sheāll be there to watch you
And you will no longer miss her.
—
So now we move on with our lives
As you continue to learn and grow
My world is changing with you, my girls
But Iāll always be here, you know.
Iāve Come Over all Emotional
With lots of love to both my girls as you return to school this September.

Happy Witchy Wednesday, dear readers! Today, I find myself contemplating the delicate dance between spirituality and business. As a Reiki Master practitioner, paranormal fiction writer, and independent business owner, I often ponder how to align my spiritual practices with the mechanics of running a successful enterprise.
For a long time, I believed that talking about money or actively pursuing financial gain was somehow incompatible with a spiritual lifestyle. Werenāt we supposed to be guided purely by Spirit, with everything else falling into place as a result? This notion, though comforting in its simplicity, doesnāt quite capture the full picture.
Witchy Wednesday: Blending Business and Spirituality at SpookyMrsGreen.com
The Reality of Spirituality and Business
In truth, while spiritual guidance is an essential aspect of my life, the tangible world demands action. If we want to bring our dreams to fruitionāwhether thatās building a thriving business, writing a bestselling novel, or simply maintaining a harmonious homeāwe must be willing to put in the work. Spirituality and effort go hand in hand.
Running a business, especially from home, requires dedication, organization, and yes, the confidence to sell your products or services. Thereās a misconception that spiritual individuals shouldnāt focus on money or marketing, but how can we share our gifts with the world if we shy away from promoting them? Our light deserves to shine, and in this world, that often means learning to balance our spiritual practices with practical business strategies.
Tips for Balancing Spirituality and Business
If you, like me, are navigating this balance, here are a few tips to help you blend your spiritual lifestyle with a business mindset:
1. Honour Your Intuition: Your spiritual intuition is a powerful tool in business. Listen to that inner voice when making decisions, whether itās choosing a new project or deciding how to market your offerings. Trust that Spirit will guide you, but donāt forget to back that guidance with research and strategy.
2. Set Clear Intentions: Just as you might set intentions in your spiritual practices, do the same for your business. Define your goals clearlyāwhether itās the number of clients you want to attract or the sales targets you aim to hit. Then, align your actions with these intentions.
3. Create Rituals for Success: Infuse your business routine with rituals that keep you grounded and focused. This could be a morning meditation, lighting a candle before you start your workday, or practicing gratitude for every sale or new client. These small acts can help maintain your spiritual connection while you navigate the business world.
4. Embrace Continuous Learning: Spiritual growth is a lifelong journey, and so is business growth. Consider expanding your knowledge by exploring online courses that cater to both your spiritual and business needs. Whether itās learning about mindfulness, marketing, or PR, investing in your education is an investment in your business’s future.
5. Celebrate Your Wins: Donāt shy away from celebrating your successesāwhether spiritual or financial. Recognizing your achievements reinforces a positive mindset and reminds you that itās okay to prosper while remaining spiritually grounded.
Explore Further Education
If you’re feeling inspired to deepen your knowledge, I recommend checking out the Centre of Excellence, an eLearning platform that offers a wide range of courses tailored to both spiritual growth and business acumen. From Yoga and Mindfulness to Marketing and PR, there’s something for everyone looking to blend these worlds harmoniously. Explore the courses here.
Final Thoughts
Balancing spirituality and business doesnāt have to be a struggle. By embracing both aspects and finding ways to integrate them into your daily life, you can create a thriving, fulfilling career that resonates with your soulās purpose. Remember, itās okay to be guided by Spirit while also being savvy in businessāafter all, you are a powerful creator in both realms.
Until next time, blessed be!

Last weekend, I had the pleasure of attending the Books on the Beach book signing event in Blackpool, marking my first public appearance in five years. It felt like coming full circle, as I had the privilege of attending the inaugural event when Books on the Beach first launched in 2019.
Oh, how Iāve missed the buzz of being surrounded by fellow indie authors and the passionate reader community! The event was everything I hoped forābusy, exciting, and absolutely fun.

Back in Action at Books on the Beach
I want to extend a huge thank you to the organisers for all their hard work in putting together such a fantastic event. Your dedication to making this happen is truly appreciated, and I can’t wait to see what you have in store for the future.
This time around, I had two special assistants with me: my daughters. They joined me at my author table and added their own sparkle to the event. They had a blast helping out, and we made some wonderful memories together. We even indulged in some book loversā merchandise and added a few new books to our ever-growing collection. It was a day filled with laughter, bonding, and a rekindling of my love for public author events.
The experience has reignited my passion
The experience has reignited my passion, and I’m thrilled to announce that I’m getting back out there. My next stop is PARACON Northwich in September, where Iāll be bringing the spooky vibes once again. In the meantime, if you haven’t already, check out my brand-new book, Bite of the Wolf (A Redcliffe Novel).
Thank you all for your continued support and stay spooky!
Until next time,Ā

Hello, my friends and happy #MummyMonday! Today Iām sharing a product review for a heavy-duty dog crate that we bought for our high maintenance rescue dog, Marley.
You might have read about Marley being diagnosed with a hip and joint condition late last year which means he now has restricted movements and needs a lot of crate rest. That being the case, I decided it was time to upgrade his old metal crate, especially since he destroyed it anyway.
See my product review for a heavy-duty dog crate that is suitable for a Staffy X or medium sized dog.
#ProductReview Fulgutonit Heavy Duty Wooden Dog Crate
My Review of Fulgutonit Heavy Duty Wooden Dog Crate
I needed a strong dog crate for my dog after he broke the folding metal crate we previously used. Since he has a health condition that means he needs a lot of crate rest, we decided to invest in a decent crate that can also be used as furniture in the living room. It fits perfectly into the recess in place of a small sideboard, and it is on wheels so we can easily move it about to clean underneath. There is a plastic tray to put underneath the crate that catches crumbs and spills.
I was a little unsure about the bars on the base of the crate where the dog has to sit, but we put his dog cushion inside and he seems quite happy and will sleep soundly when he relaxes. He is a Staffy X breed and can stand up in the crate, but it restricts his movement just enough that he can’t jump around and hurt himself, and so far he has not been able to push open the door or damage the bars like he did on the previous crate. We did put an extra bolt at the top of the double doors because he kept pushing it with his nose.
You can put the food bowls into a metal stand that fixes to a moveable door at one side, so you access the bowls without letting the dog out of the crate which I thought was a cool feature, but unfortunately our dog has now broken both bowl stands off the fixing, so they are lose inside his crate.
The crate has so far withstood our crazy hound for over a month, and he seems comfortable with it. He has now started lying in there when the door is open and will willingly sit inside the crate when we instruct him. It was easy to assemble although it took a little time, and I do recommend it as a decent piece of functional furniture for a small room.

My husband was recently diagnosed autistic, which came as both a relief and a surprise following over a decade of trauma within our marriage, challenges in his career, and struggling with life in general as a neurodiverse adult trying to live in a culture built for neurotypical individuals.
I decided to borrow a book from the library that might help me learn how his brain operates and why he behaves the way that he does, so that I can try and be a little more accommodating to his needs rather than reverting to exasperation and accusations as in previous years.
Read my review to see if I recommend the book and where you can buy it.
āAutism in Adults (Overcoming Common Problems)ā by Dr Luke Beardon.
My Review of āAutism in Adults (Overcoming Common Problems)āby Dr Luke Beardon
I found this book easy to read despite its heavy subject matter. Autism has become a hot topic in society, and it seems that lots of people are chasing diagnoses for the condition, almost as though it is a bit of a trend. Believe me, there is nothing trendy about autism. I am a neurotypical, average adult woman, and my husband has been incredibly difficult to live with. The book helped me to understand a little about how his mind operates. I was able to read conversation scenarios between neurotypical people and autistic individuals with explanations about how differently they see the world. Autism is not an illness. It isnāt something bad. It is simply something that exists, and if we can recognise it and adapt our way of life to support individuals with autism, maybe we can all get along a little better.
The book led me to ask my husband questions about situations we had struggled with. This time I could ask him why he responded the way that he did to something that upset both of us, and I was able to learn how to respond differently to him in the future. Thanks to reading this book, I can imagine how my husband might interpret a situation, and I can better prepare him to cope with it, or I can change it to make it easier for him. We must learn to compromise so that our needs are met, and I think having books like this available to us is a great starting point.
About the Book
If you’ve recently been diagnosed with ASD, or think you might be, or you are close to someone with ASD, one of the things you will like most about this book is the way in which it challenges the idea of autism as a ‘disorder’ or ‘impairment’. Instead, Dr Luke Beardon will help you to reframe what you feel, and challenge what you
Above all, this book is a celebration of what it means to be autistic – of the passion, honesty, humour, lack of ego, loyalty and trustworthiness that make you, or your loved one, such an amazing person.
