Imbolc Blessings this #WitchyWednesday

🌱Imbolc Blessings! Celebrate new life, hope and growth.

Can you feel Mother Earth beginning to wake after the long, cold winter? Our days will slowly lengthen this month, animals will begin to stir as they wake from hibernation, and you will notice snowdrops and crocuses flowering beneath the trees.

Imbolc is a time to celebrate new beginnings. Are you birthing a project? Have you finally moved on from a challenging situation? Or perhaps you are literally expecting a baby. Let us welcome Spring, look forward with joy, and be thankful that we emerged from another winter season.

This pagan fire festival celebrates the Celtic/Irish Goddess Brigid, and I have felt an affinity with her throughout my adult life, more so since I had my children. She is fierce and vibrant, protective of those that she loves, and yet a totally independent spirit who knows her own mind. You can leave an offering for Brigid in the form of seasonal flowers, perhaps write her a letter or poem, and ask for her help if you are seeking fertility and affairs relating to the home and family.

Create your own magic this Imbolc with the help of candles, incense and green crystals. I feel that green aventurine, green calcite, or malachite would be nice to work with. I have a large chunk of green calcite that I will use in meditation today. Take time to sit quietly and contemplate all that has passed this winter and all that you wish to achieve during the next few months. Blessed Be!
