Children Playing – A Poem by Elliot Green (age 9)

As I sit there

I see children playing

And children running

And screaming and shouting

(No I don’t want to go home!)

But why aren’t I playing, you may ask?

Well I’m happy to sit here

Writing this poem.

And now I shall say goodbye

To write more.

Poem written by Elliot Green, age 9.

My daughters wanted to publish their work online and asked me for some blog space – how could I refuse? Please do leave a comment to tell them if you like what they write.
