I am still waiting. At almost 40 weeks pregnant, struggling through the biggest heatwave to hit the UK for 7 years, and feeling the biggest, heaviest, and most uncomfortable I have ever been in my life, I have just about had enough.

And then the royal baby makes his appearance. I am so envious of the new royal parents right now, because for them at least, that particular hurdle is passed!

Come on Baby, We Want to See You!

My 2 year-old daughter was born at 38 weeks, so this time around I and most of my family and friends thought it would be a similar scenario. Apparently not. My baby boy/girl (we don’t know yet) is either being stubborn, lazy or is just too darn comfortable in there! I have tried all the tricks suggested to bring on labour. Nothing is working. I am finding no reprieve from the oppressive, sticky heat of our unusual British summer, and now I have even lost the energy to write or do any work.

That was my update, sorry about the grumbling. I just have to get it all out. My daughter said it perfectly the other day. She sat next to me on her bed, put her hands on my bump, and said, “Come on baby, we want to see you!”
