The summer may be slipping away, but I’m not ready to let go of the magic just yet. This August Bank Holiday, I’ll be in the heart of Birmingham for the Birmingham Book Extravaganza, joining a fantastic line-up of authors for a day of books, signings, and conversations with readers who share our love of stories.
For me, it’s another exciting opportunity to step out into the world as Paranormal Author Catherine Green—to meet readers, talk about all things gothic and spooky, and of course, share my books with those brave enough to step into the dark.
Vampires, Hunters, and Sapphic Secrets
This time, I’ll be spotlighting two of my favourite novels:
- 🦇 Vampire of Blackpool
- 🗡️ Return of the Vampire Hunter
These stories are part of my British Vampire Hunter series, which offers a darker twist on the urban fantasy vampire genre. Instead of glittering immortals or glamorous anti-heroes, my vampires are dangerous, seductive, and ruthless. And the hunters who oppose them? They’re just as fierce — driven by loyalty, revenge, or the lure of forbidden desire.
What sets these novels apart is the undertone of sapphic romance that threads through the blood and shadows. My vampires don’t just hunger for blood—they hunger for connection, for power, and sometimes for each other. The women at the heart of these stories are complex, strong-willed, and unapologetically themselves, whether that leads them into the arms of a vampire or against the edge of a hunter’s blade.
Vampire of Blackpool
Set against the wild and windswept backdrop of the Lancashire coast, Vampire of Blackpool introduces us to Meredith Hanson, an enigmatic vampire who hides in plain sight among the neon lights and faded glamour of the seaside town. When a young witch named Samantha Morris crosses her path, their connection sparks something dangerous and irresistible. But as their relationship deepens, a determined vampire hunter arrives in Blackpool, and Meredith’s carefully concealed existence is thrown into jeopardy.
This is a story of temptation and survival, of sapphic desire entangled with supernatural danger. It asks the question: can love survive when the hunter closes in on the prey?
Return of the Vampire Hunter
The story continues with Return of the Vampire Hunter, where old enemies rise and hunters are forced to face the monsters they thought they had already defeated. At its core, this book is about legacy and vengeance, about family ties strained by secrets, and about women who must decide whether to stand together—or against one another—in the face of blood-soaked destiny.
If you enjoy your urban fantasy fast-paced, atmospheric, and layered with gothic romance, this is one you’ll want to pick up.
Meet Me in Birmingham
I’ll be signing copies of both Vampire of Blackpool and Return of the Vampire Hunter at the Birmingham Book Extravaganza. This is your chance to grab a signed book, chat with me about the supernatural world I’ve created, or simply stop by to say hello. I always love meeting readers, especially those who, like me, have a soft spot for vampires, witches, and hunters prowling in the shadows.
