In my quest to read books that I have hoarded for years, read on to see my review of Triptych (Will Trent #1) by Karin Slaughter.
This book sat on my shelves for several years and I decided to dust it off and give it a go. I wasn’t always a fan of crime novels, but I have read them occasionally, and since I had heard good things about the author, I decided it was worth a read. It certainly got my heart pounding! The story unfolded easily, and I got through the book quite quickly. The subject matter is deeply disturbing, but the psychology is interesting to study. I liked the fact that all the characters had flaws, and it was left to the reader to decide if they were “good” or “bad.”
About the Book
In the city of Atlanta, women are dying—at the hands of a killer who signs his work with a single, chilling act of mutilation. Leaving behind enough evidence to fuel a frenzied police hunt, this cunning madman is bringing together dozens of lives, crossing the boundaries of wealth and race. And the people who are chasing him must cross those boundaries too. Among them is Michael Ormewood, a veteran detective whose marriage is hanging by a thread—and whose arrogance and explosive temper are threatening his career. And Angie Polaski, a beautiful vice cop who was once Michael’s lover before she became his enemy.
But another player has entered the game: a loser ex-con who has stumbled upon the killer’s trail in the most coincidental of ways—someone who may be the key to breaking the case wide open…

All Hail Will Trent! I learned of these books from the tv series on ABC every Tuesday night at 10Pm. It’s loosely based on the books but amazing work. I ended up wanting to read these books for myself.
I haven’t watched the TV series yet but it is now available on Disney+ I think so I will have to watch it. I also want to read more of the books he features in.
Granted the Will Trent in the show looks way different. He’s played by a Puerto Rican American actor named Ramon Rodriguez. But I love him. Plus we see Betty!!!!!!
Thanks for the review.
