Dress Up Your Pet Day

Today is Dress Up Your Pet Day!

The dog in this photo is our old man, Baxter, who crossed the rainbow bridge in 2019. He was a rescue dog and the best family pet we could ask for. You can see from this image that he was patient with the children when they dressed him up.

Our current dog, Marley, also a rescue pet, is fairly tolerant with the children and has been dressed up in Santa hats, sunglasses and the like, but I haven’t managed to get a decent photo yet because he won’t stay still. My younger daughter is on a mission to dress up our cat, but I’m not sure Nora is so keen!

  1. I don’t dress Lyra up because she hates wearing clothes – she doesn’t even like wearing her raincoat when it’s wet! – but when I was a kid I used to dress up my Gran’s lurcher in her apron and headscarf. He was always so patient, though I’m sure he felt a bit silly!
