Firewood Burning – A Poem by Georgina Green (age 7)

As I sit watching

the wood burn in the fire

My eyes feel the warmth

My body warms up

I feel nice and warm.

Poem written by Georgina Green, age 7.

My daughters wanted to publish their work online and asked me for some blog space – how could I refuse? Please do leave a comment to tell them if you like what they write.

  1. This evocative poem brings back happy memories of when my wood-burning stove was working! So much nicer than central heating. Your daughters are very talented!
