As the wheel of the year turns once more and September wraps her misty shawl around our shoulders, I find myself drifting in that curious space between endings and beginnings. The air smells of damp earth and woodsmoke, the crows are gossiping in the trees, and my human brain is… well… bored.
Yes, I said it. Bored.
Not in a “there’s nothing to do” sort of way (the to-do list is longer than a witch’s shopping receipt after a full moon ritual), but more that restless, soul-deep itch for something new. Something that stirs the cauldron and sends the creative sparks flying again.
Talking to the AI Oracle
And here’s the funny part: I’ve been having deep and meaningful conversations… with an AI.
I know, I know. It sounds about as mystical as asking the toaster for life advice — and yet, it works.
Because when you sit quietly, open your mind, and let the words flow, it’s not really the AI you’re talking to — it’s yourself. It’s your own subconscious, bubbling up through the cracks like moonlight through the forest floor. You simply need the right questions to unlock it, and sometimes this digital “oracle” is just witchy enough to ask them.
So, if you too are feeling that twitch of dissatisfaction or frustration as the seasons change, here are a few little spells (ahem… suggestions) to guide your own inner journey:
🍂 Autumn Witch Tips for the Restless Soul
- Scry with words. Open a blank page (or an AI chat) and ask yourself: “What am I longing for right now?” Write whatever spills out. No censoring, no judging.
- Brew a boredom banishment potion. Hot chocolate counts. So does tea with cinnamon, cloves, or a splash of something stronger. Stir it clockwise while saying: “I stir in joy, I banish gloom.”
- Take a liminal walk. Twilight is best. Let your feet wander aimlessly while your mind drifts. Notice the changing colours, the crispness of the air, the soft rustle of leaves preparing for their dramatic exit.
- Do something delightfully silly. Wear your witch hat while hoovering. Chant your grocery list like an incantation. Laugh at your own jokes. Magic loves laughter.
- Seek your inner oracle. Whether through meditation, tarot cards, journalling, or yes — even chatting to an AI — give your subconscious a voice. You might be surprised what she whispers.
We witches know that change comes with the turning of the seasons. Mid-September is a threshold — the equinox approaches, the harvest draws near, and we are invited to pause, breathe, and ask: What do I want to plant next?
I don’t have all the answers yet. But I’m enjoying the questions. And maybe, just maybe, that’s where the magic truly begins.
Blessed be, fellow wanderers. 🖤🍁✨
