Mummy Monday: A Ghostly Adventure at Hallam Mill

Hello, my fellow ghost enthusiasts! This Mummy Monday, I’m thrilled to share our latest family ghost hunt adventure at Hallam Mill in Stockport—a visit that left me both spooked and exhilarated.

Read my story of how I got pushed out of a room right in front of my daughters and check out the video footage on my TikTok page. The link is in the article!

A Welcome Return

We were recently invited by the ever-curious Paranormal Penny Pinchers to return to the mysterious Hallam Mill, and of course, we couldn’t resist. The excitement began as my girls eagerly reunited with their new friends—the teenage children of dedicated paranormal investigators. Meanwhile, I enjoyed an engaging chat with the parents, swapping our favourite ghost hunting stories and haunted hotspots across the UK.

The Allure of the Forbidden Room

As the evening progressed, the investigation opened up to include the adults during a free exploration period. The team then introduced us to a particular room—currently off-limits to children because it hasn’t yet been thoroughly investigated. They suspect something nonhuman may be lurking in its depths, and naturally, I had to explore!

Entering the room, I experienced a peculiar sensation—a strange energy, much like a swirling vortex, filled the air. Although I didn’t see anything tangible, I could feel the presence of something unusual. As I prepared to leave (with my daughters waiting in the hallway beyond), an unexpected moment occurred: I stepped forward and tripped on the flat surface. It wasn’t just a clumsy misstep; it felt as if an unseen force nudged me toward the door, almost as if it was urging me to return to my children.

An Unsettling, Yet Intriguing Experience

I wasn’t frightened by the incident, but it was undeniably strange. The Paranormal Penny Pinchers later sent me some security footage capturing that exact moment—proof that I definitely didn’t simply trip over my own feet! You can catch a glimpse of this eerie push on my TikTok page.

Looking Ahead and Inviting Your Thoughts

I can’t wait for our next private investigation at Hallam Mill. Every visit brings a mix of wonder, a hint of danger, and plenty of questions. Speaking of questions, I’d love to hear from you: What are your thoughts on our ghostly encounter? Do you have any insights or historical titbits about Hallam Mill that might help corroborate this experience? I tend to avoid too much pre-research until I’ve set foot in a haunted location, so any shared knowledge is always welcome!

Until next time, keep your eyes open and your spirits high.

Happy ghost hunting,

SpookyMrsGreen
