Product Review: Kikkerland Solar Radiometer

I received a Kikkerland Solar Radiometer for review, and here is what I thought of the product:

My Review

This is a lovely little techy gift! It appeals to my imaginative side, where I see it as a steampunk-inspired novelty item that is rooted in early scientific developments. It is fascinating to sit and watch the little spinning vanes, and I think this would be a perfect gift for people who love science, steampunk, and magical realism.

About the Product

Solar radiometer by Kikkerland – measures radiant flux of electromagnetic radiation. Crookes radiometer – a curiously retro scientific instrument for measuring light. A sealed glass case with 4 vanes that magically spin when a light source is present. Kit out your office in Dumbledore or steampunk style. Hand blown glass replica scientific instrument.

I had no idea what a Solar Radiometer was until your review – it sounds cool! I had a look on Amazon and there’s a promo video there that shows it moving. Definitely a novel gifting idea. xx
