My Muse is busy again and today I share a poem offering inspiration for my fellow writers.

#Poem: For the Love of Writing

I stare at the screen

My mind is a whirl

Words and characters a jumble inside

All clamouring for my attention.

—

Where do I begin?

I must fill up the white space

Get those words outside my head

And make some sense of the craziness.

—

Fingers to the keys

I begin to type, slowly

The speed increases, the narrative flows

Soon my page is no longer blank.

—

I sit back with a sigh

The deed is done!

I emptied my mind

At least for now.

—

A new story to develop

Another to continue

So many possibilities

I love to write!
