It’s 1st September already, and that can only mean one thing in the UK: it’s time to go back to school! My daughters are both a mix of happy and sad about it. They’ve had such a fun-filled summer holiday, and honestly, I’m feeling a little emotional myself as we get back into routine.

Our Summer of Love and Adventure

This summer was one to remember. The highlight? A dream holiday to Skiathos, Greece, where we attended the beautiful seaside wedding of our close friends. It was our second family trip abroad and a truly magical experience that we will treasure forever.

The girls also spent a fun-packed week visiting their aunt, uncle, and young cousins. They had the best time exploring old castles and historic churches, running wild in soft play centres and outdoor adventure parks, and making the most of their childhood freedom. Back home, we enjoyed cosy movie nights, raucous board game battles, spontaneous shopping trips, and quiet, creative afternoons working on our family scrapbooks.

Yes, I’m a little exhausted. But in the best possible way! 😉

September always carries a back-to-school energy for adults too – a shift into focus, fresh goals, and new beginnings. I’m holding onto that warm summer joy and bringing it into the autumn months ahead.
