For My Husband, Daniel Green

Today is my wedding anniversary. Yes, I am going to show some public affection for my husband! I married Daniel Green on this date in 2010, at Oakfield House, Chester Zoo, and three years on we continue to grow from strength to strength. Our relationship began way back in late 2000, when we were just teenagers embarking on adulthood. We’ve had our trials and tests, but we got through them, and we will keep getting through whatever is thrown at us as the years progress.

I’m not given to flashy shows of emotion, and Daniel most certainly isn’t. But I am a writer, I have something to say, and so I am sharing on here. I love you, Daniel, and I couldn’t be happier in our marriage as we approach the birth of our second child. All those little domestic niggles just make for a more exciting ride! Happy Anniversary Daniel!

Happy Anniversary and Many Years, Catherine. I’ve been married nearly 30 years and yes, as you say, the domestic niggles make it an interesting ride. Wishing you the best in the future.

Happy anniversary Catherine. What a lovely wedding photo & I was intrigued by the location – Chester Zoo. I send my good wishes as you await the birth of your second child.

    • Thank you Sheila! Well, we wanted an unusual wedding venue with nice places to take photographs (my father-in-law is a wedding photographer), and my husband likes the recycling initiative at Chester Zoo as well. Once I discovered they were licensed for weddings, we were sold!

  4. Congratulations, I’ve now gone over thirty years married and though we have our ups and downs I still love her. Have a great day.
    Passing through on my roadtrip.
