We Are the World BlogFest (#WATWB) celebrates special people and small stories of inspiration and hope in the world. Let’s face it, we need some inspiration and hope during this time of pandemic and social distancing.
It’s Christmas!
What more can I say on this magical day? It has been a crazy year with the pandemic, the lockdowns, social distancing, and social change like we have never seen in our lifetime. Pubs were closed (some still are), social lives are severely restricted, visiting of family and friends has reduced to countryside or seaside walks with no indoor gatherings. What do we have to be cheerful about? We are here. We are alive. We have our health, our homes, our family and friends. Today I am celebrating Christmas with my daughters and dog, cuddling on the sofa, playing with our new toys, and eating lots of good food. What more could we need? Merry Christmas, everybody!
We are the World BlogFest (#WATWB) focuses on positive stories no matter where they’re found. It is all about spreading peace and humanity on social media. All participants post on the last Friday of the month, sharing a positive news story that contributes to making our world a happier, safer, and better place to live.
