It’s FAB Weekend in Middlewich!

Hello and how are you this fine, sunny day? I am very excited because this weekend we celebrate Middlewich FAB Festival, aka Folk and Boat Festival. It was postponed last year and cancelled the year before, so now we get to celebrate its 30th anniversary in style.

The Saturday celebrations kick off with a parade through the town centre, and I will be dressed in my pagan finery. My daughters are performing with their dance school to start the day, and then we will enjoy street performers, musicians, folk dancers and all sorts of wonderfully talented and creative people. There is a floating market on the canal which is always a treat, we are going to explore a story labyrinth in church which was designed and built by local school children (mine included), there will be lots of food stalls, fun activities, sounds, sights and colours to behold. If you are local or can travel to Middlewich over the weekend, I recommend that you do it because this event is always a treat.
