Today is labelled Blue Monday because it is the third Monday in January, most people are broke, we are back at work and probably not coping well with dull days and lack of energy.
There is no such thing as Blue Monday in my house! This week we celebrate two birthdays: my eldest daughter and then mine. We have enjoyed a busy weekend with birthday sleepover and party fun, and next weekend it is my turn to celebrate. No time to be miserable around here.
As I write this article, I hear birds singing in the garden, the sun is shining and the weather feels warmer after a cold, icy week. I will take the dog for a walk, feel warmth on my skin, and be thankful that despite our financial challenges, life is good. We are alive, we are safe, we have everything that we need right now.
I am on a mission to refresh my published novels and short stories, a project that I began last week. I am powering through and feeling good as I apply newfound knowledge following lots of research and training. Watch this space for updates as I launch new book covers, the final instalment in the Redcliffe Novels series, and maybe another short story anthology later in the year. Exciting times!
