Happy New Year! I speak for everyone when I say we are glad to see the back of the year of the pandemic. While it is far from over and my hometown is now in a local lockdown due to high infection rates, I still feel hopeful for a better year ahead. How do you feel?

My family and I have experienced a rough couple of years. We have witnessed the death of older relatives and beloved family dogs, and bereavement from extended family and friends. I have battled a failing marriage, the challenges of motherhood, and the crazy adventure of being self-employed. But there have been far more happy and precious memories made during this time, even in 2020. I carry those happy memories with me as we move forward.

Here’s to a productive, playful and optimistic 2021.
