What can we Create? #CraftyChristmas

What can we create this Christmas? There is something about the festive season that brings out my creative urges, although I must admit, my talents go only so far as a bit of card making and decorating ornaments.

My mum has the skill with fabrics and needle craft. She made an advent calendar for my daughter a few years ago, last year she made rag dolls for both my girls and their cousin, she has made more Christmas decorations than we know what to do with, not to mention handbags, purses, jumpers, cardigans, dresses and more. My girls love a visit to their Nanny’s house, because she has a sewing room full of crafty treats, they can use the sewing machine to make dolls’ clothes and accessories, and they can always call on Nanny for last-minute school projects, like making poppies for the recent centenary celebrations.

A favourite shop of ours is Terrys Fabrics, which has a store in Staffordshire that we have been frequent visitors to over the years. I found curtain fabric in there, accessories to make bedding and soft furnishings, and all sorts of other tools and finishings. Of course, my mum had to make the curtains (thanks Mum!), but I tried to help where I could. I just don’t have the talent for that, but I love visiting the shops and picking out materials for Christmas projects, birthday gifts, homewares and whatever else we need. This week you can find some fabulous Black Friday deals at Terrys Fabrics, and prepare your home for a perfect Christmas celebration. This week you can also find the Black Friday Clearance Page open for business, with up to 60% off all the best home accessories.

Terrys Fabrics Christmas Store is Now Open – with festive fabrics, cushions, throws, tableware and bedding to choose from.

Plus, to help you prepare your home for the big day, remember that 19th December is the last day for Christmas delivery of in stock items. Visit the Terrys Fabrics Christmas Store here.

Happy festive bargain hunting!
