Princess Party Time

The countdown is on, as it is just two days until my youngest daughter celebrates her fifth birthday. She has waited all year for this, my little darling! We have been counting down the days, made even longer since she attended birthday parties for many of her school friends recently, and all of them are now five while she is still four. Then we have birthdays for some of her older friends that are close together as well, so the suspense is almost too much to bear!

Anyway, our party theme this year is princesses. Well, princesses and Peppa Pig. My girls still love that little piggy and her family. We just happen to have a Princess Peppa toy figurine that I have been instructed to put on my daughter’s birthday cake. Now, I am not a culinary queen, far from it, but I can just about bake a simple sponge cake when the need arises. I find it quite endearing that my daughters like my homemade cakes for their birthdays, even when we see the wonderful, creative works of art that other people produce. Sometimes I suppose Mummy really does bake the best cake, at least for her children! I must go now, we have a party house to prepare.

  2. By the way, I nominated your blog for the Mystery Blogger Award, but there’s no obligation to participate. Hope the party goes well!

  3. I have great memories of a Peppa pig and George party, then making their house as a cake to go with it. Have fun, I hope she enjoys her special day.
