Merry May Bank Holiday, my friends! Well, May Day Bank Holiday, at least. We get another one later in the month, but by that point I will be just days away from moving house so it will all be a little bit mad. Or is that more mad than usual? Who knows! Anyway, this weekend we took some time out. We packed up the car and went to the beach, enjoying an afternoon of glorious sunshine, fabulous blue sky, and a nice paddle in the sea.
Our Sunday afternoon involved a BBQ with friends following their invitation to leave the mess at home and spend time in their beautiful garden. Our girls had lots of fun jumping in and out of the paddling pool, on the trampoline, running around the garden and generally keeping themselves busy. I sat in the sun and drank gin. Bliss! Now it is back to work, but we all feel refreshed and relaxed after taking a few days out. Sometimes you just need a little holiday, even if you don’t go very far. How was your Bank Holiday weekend?
