Did you have a premature baby? Today is #WorldPrematurityDay, and in the UK, the baby charity Bliss is running a campaign to raise awareness of just how prevalent prematurity is within our communities. I did not have a premature baby, but a very close friend did, along with other friends and family, and I want to learn more about how it really feels to be a parent with a premature baby.
Lots of Lotty is running a series of videos throughout November to share her tips about how to cope when your premature baby is still in hospital. Her baby boy was born prematurely last December, and while he is growing well and is very healthy, the first month was a huge shock to the family, including his older sisters. You can watch Lotty’s videos where she talks about how to manage your time in hospital, how to support your baby, how to support yourself, and how it impacts on your family and friends. Check out the hashtag #PrematurityIs, and follow Lots of Lotty on Facebook and Twitter.
