Middlewich Rose Fete 2017

I am very pleased to be involved with the Middlewich Rose Fete. In recent years, it has taken place within the annual Middlewich FAB Festival, but this year we are doing it alone. The Rose Fete has been revived, revitalised, and is now an event all on its own, which I think is fabulous. Our little town has so much to offer, and so many wonderful events throughout the year! This month we celebrate Scribe, then it will be Middlewich Rose Fete, and then the Folk and Boat Festival (FAB) which is our biggest tourist attraction.

My daughters are participating in the Rose Fete once again this year. I wasn’t sure if they were so keen, since I felt like perhaps I coerced them into it previously. However, they have both independently decided that they want to dress up in costumes and join in the parade, and we have committed to a series of Rose Fete rehearsals in preparation. It’s all very exciting!

If you are fairly local to Middlewich (we are located just off J18 on the M6, very easy to get to) and would like to visit, then look us up on Facebook and Twitter for details about fundraising events, how to get involved, and related activities. This is a community effort, and we just want to bring people together in celebration and fun. Oh, and on the day of the Rose Fete, there will a Maypole celebration. I am really looking forward to that one! See you at Middlewich Rose Fete on Saturday 20th May.
