This time last year I was in the midst of chaos as I prepared for the renovation of our kitchen. We literally gutted the room, redecorated and had brand new units and appliances installed. It is now beautiful, modern, practical for a family of four, and still fits in nicely with our Victorian workers’ cottage home. I love it! But unfortunately, it is not enough. Our house simply cannot contain our growing family. Especially since we just had a birthday and another influx of toys and games.
We need to move house. It is a topic that has been in my mind for over a year now, but persuading the husband that we need to move has been a challenge, as I’m sure you will understand! Our house is lovely. We have been very happy here for the past ten years, but now it is time to move on and find our “forever” family home. The children need their own bedrooms. I need a proper office space. The dog needs a bigger garden. It is a very exciting, and very daunting, prospect. They say that moving house is one of the most stressful events in a person’s life… bring it on!

If you can weather a kitchen remodel, moving will be a breeze. We gutted our kitchen years ago, taking out a wall to make a really big kitchen. It’s great now, but living with that chaos for weeks was a huge struggle. So I think your move should be much easier. It’s also a good opportunity to do some decluttering! Good luck!
Ha ha, very true and thank you for the support! Well, I am still trying to declutter, and it is a very slow process since we just had an influx of toys for my daughter’s birthday… 😉
