Finally a Bit of Fun!

Hello everyone! Wow, it has been a crazy busy week for me already, and not in a bad way. In fact, it has been very good indeed, if a little chaotic. It started last Friday evening, when my husband and I had a night out, in a pub, without children! That has not happened in many months I can tell you. We shipped the children off to Grandma and away we went to catch up with some friends we hadn’t seen in a very long time.

On Tuesday evening I went to the theatre, again something I have missed for, ooh, several months. A friend won some tickets at short notice, and my husband finally managed to get home from work early so I could go out. We saw Annie Get Your Gun at the Regent Theatre in Stoke-on-Trent, and thoroughly enjoyed it. The fact that Jason Donovan headlined was also very pleasing for two women who remember him from his celebrity debut days…

And we topped it off with a fun day of shopping yesterday (mainly for my daughters admittedly). Anyway, all this play is leaving me no time to work, but fortunately I am not concerned about that. I am very lucky to have a husband who provides for his family, and for that I am very thankful. Now if only he could book some annual leave that is way overdue to him…

This weekend is the fabulous Middlewich Folk and Boat Festival, and it is all the more exciting this year because my daughter and her friends are in the Rose Fete parade, acting as fairy attendants to the Rose Queen. They will be all dressed up in their best fairy dresses, complete with wings, wands and glitter, and we can watch them perform their beautiful dance in the festival arena. I will be a very proud Mummy on Saturday morning!

Have a lovely day my friends!
