Winding Down for Christmas

You might have noticed my absence from the virtual world this week. Or at least, my reduced interaction and networking. After a crazy two weeks without internet at the beginning of December, I decided it was time for a break. I needed to start my Christmas holiday early. After all, I am my own boss! Well, that is debatable if you speak to my 2 year old daughter…

Anyway, this is just a brief post to say I am here, I am reading most of the blogs I subscribe to, but I am taking some time out. I have scheduled all that I feel is appropriate and necessary for the indie author always selling her books, and now I can put my feet up. I have even managed to complete the household chores that were hanging over me, woo-hoo!

There are a few new projects in progress, and these will be revealed in the New Year. Suffice to say that 2013 is already shaping up to be a busy one, and I have a lot of studying to do in terms of internet marketing and developing a small business. I also have novels to publish, so I will be doing the rounds of agents and publishers until I find the right outlet for my work.

What is everyone else up to during the Christmas holidays? Spending time with family and friends, catching up with chores and hobbies, or simply relaxing? It’s all good. Merry Christmas!

  1. I too am getting ready for Christmas. We have dinner here on THE day this year– cornish game hens. In addition, I’m putting final polish on my novella so that I can submit, and dealing with, dang it, painful back. I also need to formulate my goals/resolutions/desires for the new year. Glad you got a little time away from cyberspace, at your choice– felt nice eh? It’s great to be our own boss! However, I really need to rev up my word output and production. For the first time I’m realizing what long range planning I need to do for novels. If I want a Christmas special, I must have the book done by summer.

    • It does feel good, especially while I’m dealing with some health issues. While the urge to write is strong, the urge to rest is stronger! Good look with your projects Flossie and thanks for commenting.
